“DeSales Service Works is a mission of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales hosting service groups to practice works of mercy and little virtues, pray, and encounter Christ in this place of obvious need, bringing insight, solidarity, and service back to their daily lives.”​

DeSales Service Works serves the Camden community by welcoming volunteers to live, work, and build relationships with local residents. Through service retreats, summer immersion programs, and year-long placements, volunteers support partner organizations in education, youth development, social services, and healthcare. DSW focuses on presence, compassion, and justice, encouraging volunteers to learn from the community while meeting real needs. Rooted in Salesian spirituality, the program emphasizes simplicity, reflection, and meaningful service that strengthens Camden’s families, schools, and neighborhoods.
